Nursing Home Covid-19 Updates

December 2, 2020 - Our Covid staff member testing results from this week have shown 80 nursing home staff members were negative and 10 positive staff members. The staff members will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance.

November 30, 2020 - Our Covid resident testing results from today have shown 6 positive residents and 31 negative residents. We also had one nursing home staff member that tested positive this past weekend and two nursing home staff members that tested positive today. Please contact us at 573-783-3341, Ext. 3300 or 3326, if you have any questions. We will do another full round of nursing home staff member tests this week.

November 25, 2020 - 2ND POST - We have been running some extra Covid resident tests today on residents that were in close proximity to our previous positive residents. Unfortunately, we had ten positive residents and ten negative residents identified today. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus.

November 25, 2020 - Our Covid staff member testing results from this week have shown 92 nursing home staff members were negative and three positive staff members. The positive staff members have been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff members will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. We also had one resident positive yesterday. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus.

November 23, 2020 - Resident testing from today has identified four Covid positive residents with the remaining 48 residents testing negative. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. We will be testing all nursing home staff members again this week. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. Thank you for your continued support of our residents and staff members.

November 20, 2020 - Our Covid staff member testing results from the later part of this week have shown 98 nursing home staff members were negative and five positive staff members. The positive staff members have been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff members will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. From our Covid resident tests today on residents that were in close proximity to our 11/16/2020 positive resident, we unfortunately had two positive residents today. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus.

November 18, 2020 - We have been running some extra Covid resident tests this week on residents that were in close proximity to our 11/16/2020 positive resident. Unfortunately, we had another positive resident on 11/17/2020 and three more positive residents today. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus.

November 16, 2020 - Resident testing from today has identified one positive resident with the remaining 59 residents testing negative. The positive resident will have an isolation room and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. We will be testing all nursing home staff members again this week. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. Thank you for your continued support of our residents and staff members.

November 13, 2020 – We are very excited to announce that all 106 nursing home staff members tested for Covid over the last few days were negative. We will be doing another round of both resident and nursing home staff member tests next week. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding during this time.

November 10, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home residents today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 60 residents were negative.

November 5, 2020 - Our Covid staff member testing results from the later part of this week have shown 94 nursing home staff members were negative and one positive staff member. The positive staff member has been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff member will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance.

November 4, 2020 - Resident testing from 11/3/2020 has identified two positive residents with the remaining 61 residents testing negative. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. We will be testing all nursing home staff members again this week. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. Thank you for your continued support of our residents and staff members.

October 30, 2020 - Our Covid testing results from the later part of this week have shown 103 nursing home staff members were negative and no positive staff members. We also tested all residents today. We had 1 positive resident and 63 negative residents. Any positive residents will have isolation rooms based on CDC guidance and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. October 28, 2020 - Today we went ahead and tested the residents in the area of our building where we had the first resident positive Covid case. We had one resident positive today and the other 25 residents were negative. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. October 26, 2020 - Due to our first resident positive Covid test on 10/23/20, we went ahead and did another round of resident testing today. Testing from today has identified one positive resident with the remaining 64 residents testing negative. The positive residents will have isolation rooms and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. We will be testing all nursing home staff members again on 10/29/20. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. Thank you for your continued support of our residents and staff members.

October 23, 2020 - Our Covid nursing home resident testing today has identified one positive resident with the remaining 66 residents testing negative. The positive resident will have an isolation room and we are separating our communities to try to prevent any spread of this virus. We will be testing all nursing home staff members again on 10/29/20 along with all residents next week. We will post those results as soon as we get them on this website. You will be notified individually and privately via phone if your loved one receives a positive Covid test result along with any changes in their health condition. October 22, 2020 – From our Covid-19 nursing home staff member testing this week, we have had 98 staff members test negative and 4 staff members test positive. The positive staff members have been isolated at home by their local County Health Department. The staff members will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. We will do another round of nursing home resident tests on 10/23/20.

October 16, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home staff members today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 109 staff members were negative. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding during this time.

October 7, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home residents today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 67 residents were negative.

October 5, 2020 – From our Covid-19 nursing home staff member testing this week, we have had 113 staff members test negative and 2 staff members test positive. The positive staff members have been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff members will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. We will do another round of nursing home resident tests this week. Our mitigating actions listed in our 9/15/2020 post below will continue in order to try to prevent or reduce the risk of any possible Covid transmission.

October 1, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home residents today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 68 residents were negative.

September 28, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home staff members today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 120 staff members were negative. We will do another round of nursing home staff member tests on Monday, October 5th.

September 24, 2020 – Our Covid testing results for nursing home residents today have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 70 residents were negative. We will do another round of nursing home resident tests on Thursday, October 1st.

September 23, 2020 – From our Covid-19 nursing home staff member testing earlier this week, we have had 120 staff members test negative and 1 staff member test positive. The positive staff member has been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff member will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. We will do another round of nursing home resident tests 9/24/2020 and nursing home staff member tests again on 9/28/2020. Our mitigating actions listed in our 9/15/2020 post below will continue in order to try to prevent or reduce the risk of any possible Covid transmission.

September 21, 2020 – Our Covid testing results from the later part of last week have come back and we are very excited to announce that all 71 residents and 122 nursing home staff were negative. Thank you all for your patience! We will do another round of nursing home staff tests today.

September 17, 2020 – We have been very blessed today to have received back all resident Covid test results from our September 14th testing round and all 71 residents were negative. We will do a second round of testing of all residents today and post those results here as soon as we receive them back.

September 15, 2020 - We completed our first round of resident Covid testing yesterday and will post a summary of those results as soon as we receive them. Yesterday we implemented several mitigating actions to prevent or reduce the risk of any possible Covid transmission. Those actions include but are not limited to the following - Continued daily monitoring of staff and residents for any symptoms - Increased surveillance Covid testing of both residents and nursing home staff - Promotion of social distancing - Continuation of mandated face masks for all nursing home staff - Limiting group activities and community dining to help maintain social distance - Ongoing efforts to clean and disinfect - Encouragement of continued increased hand hygiene - Compartmentalization of communities to insulate against exposure - Staff PPE (personal protective equipment, i.e. gowns, gloves, etc.) usage as recommended by CDC guidance.

September 14, 2020 - From our surveillance Covid-19 nursing home staff member testing done last week, we have had 120 staff members test negative and 1 staff member test positive. The staff member that tested positive has no symptoms of illness and has been isolated at home by the Madison County Health Department. The staff member will not be working until released to do so per CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - www.cdc.gov) guidance. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will be involved to oversee our testing and processes. As part of the new nursing home surveillance testing requirements that were started two weeks ago, we will now start testing residents. We will also be retesting all nursing home staff members this week. You will be notified individually and privately via phone of your loved one’s results along with any changes in their health condition. We believe open and transparent communication, balanced with protecting individual privacy is essential at this time. As such, we will continue to post a summary of the positive/negative test results here for both nursing home staff members and residents. We will be canceling patio visits for this week and reevaluating them weekly but window visits can still be scheduled. We are grateful for all of our dedicated staff members and their commitment to our residents.

September 8, 2020 - As of this date, we have not received any positive Covid-19 test results on any residents or nursing home staff members. If we get a positive result at any date, we will post an update here. New nursing home surveillance testing requirements were issued last week and we will be doing a second round of testing on our nursing home staff members this week. Thank you to all of our residents' family members and friends for your continued patience during these trying times.

September 4, 2020 - As of this date, we have not received any positive Covid-19 test results on any residents or nursing home staff members. If we get a positive result at any date, we will post an update here. New nursing home surveillance testing requirements were issued and we have started that process with our nursing home staff members this week. You will be notified if we receive any positive results of nursing home staff members. Thank you for your continued support.

August 27, 2020 - As of this date, we have not received any positive Covid-19 test results on any residents or staff members. If we get a positive result at any date, we will post an update here. If we get a positive result or when new surveillance testing requirements are issued, we will test residents and staff members based on that guidance. You will be notified individually and privately via phone of your loved one’s results along with any changes in their health condition. We will continue to provide real-time and straightforward information on what is occurring within our facility.
